Squash session

Squash versus Jam session,

only 3 hours apart, the squash event was graced by Brother ASARI (purposely attired for a tazkirah session while the guys were waiting for their turns to play).
Bro Prof Ketek who had graciously declined to attend, informed at the very last minute that he might be joining as he was in the vicinity but alas being stuck with the inlaws is just a sticky situation.
Ekmal was determined to attend but had an urgent errand to handle so maybe next session.

The other participants were:
Kadok
Doc Hishamshah
Dickens
Doc Jali
and last but not least WANO!!!

The list is not according to ranking.

Post squash was the teh o limau plus capati session. sorry, no teh tarik and roti canai at that particular restaurant!! !!

Next possible session insyALLAH, 31st MAY 2008, same place same time.

Jem Session 2 Report

Asm all

Jam session 2 was truly fun Various Serpents dropped in for the session. One even brought the family! Why not?

Attendees:
1. Maylod
2. Bidi
3. NYAmok
4. Kunte
5. Monseiur Jules
6. Adam
7. Joey
8. Bom
9. Rosa + family aka Birthday boy
10. A Halim Ismail

Maylend was still missing in action.
Jenggo couldn't make it as he was engaged elsewhere.
Doc Adi was in Kuching.
Chicken had a course (another one! sigh.) to attend.
Adam aka the Hitman bought a watchmacallit instrument for jamming.
The boys played the birthday song for Rosa (Next time bring a cake!)
Rosa filmed us jamming.

The boys played like professionals needing only a couple of takes to play a song. Songs under our belt are:
1. Hotel California
2. Lyin' Eyes
3. Corazon Espinado (You can watch in the YouTube, as soon as Rosa uploads it.)
4. Hound Dog
5. Long Train Runnin'
6. Pan Yau (Alan Tham)
7. I Shot the Sheriff
8. Load Out/Stay
Rest assure (IA) we'll be churning out more in jams to come.

Conspicuosly absent were groupies. (No chick would like to cavort with balding and bulging old men.) Abdul Halim would
be bringing his niece to the next jam session as she's in town for her summer hols.

After the session, we adjourn to the stalls close to the studio for drinks and mee udang. Our thanks to the Hitman for picking
up the tab (no, not the real one! Only Tajam and Amok can do that.) Members managed to provide other members with business
opportunities and there was talk about Serpents opening up a restaurant.

So see ya in the next jam. Those who fancy singing, please bring your own lyrics. We'll entertain you.

Cheers!

A Halim Ismail
